Our vision is for young people to encounter God for themselves, experience family, and build life-giving habits.

  • Fireplace for 11-18's

The name fireplace has two meanings for us. One, it’s our desire to be a group that hosts the fire of the holy spirit on a weekly basis and two, we have an aim to have a bonfire or regular fire every week!

Fireplace is guided by our church vision statement. Our aim is to create a loving space for our young people to encounter Jesus. We want to do this in the most freeing and empowering way we can, and by encouraging and loving our youth. We don’t want to force faith on anyone but we do want to create an opportunity for them to choose to meet with Jesus. We want to see them beautifully empowered, renewed and encouraged by his love so that they can pursue all that God has got in store for them. We also love having wild and silly fun.

We meet on Fridays at Weycroft Hall from 19:30 – 21:30. We try to make use of the wonderful space around us as much as we can, often getting muddy and messy in the process with wild activities, we’re all ages and have people in lots of different places on their faith journey.

We love meeting new people and we’re often very flexible, so if you have any questions or queries about what it is we get up to don’t hesitate to get in contact! The church’s main email is info@weycrofthall.co.uk (not sure this is the correct email address?) and Tom the youth leader’s number is 07856251945.

    See you soon! 😊

  • Sunday kids for 5-11's

We love our kids at River Church and we want their church experience to be just as life changing and loving as any other part of our church family.

As such, the way we do our kids ministry on a Sunday begins with worshiping together as one big family, noise and mess welcome, and then during the sermon, the second half of the service, we take our kids into the activity rooms adjacent to the hall and have fun learning together.

We love making use of the wonderful space and talent at Weycroft so arts, crafts, baking/eating, wide games and adventures are often very common on a Sunday for our kids.

We welcome all abilities, special needs or otherwise and we’ll do our best to cater for their needs.

We believe God’s got awesome stuff in store for each and every one of our young people and we count it a joy and privilege to be part of their journey, empowering them to choose to run for the king themselves.
